By creating an account or using UmeCave (web or mobile apps), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
UmeCave lets two people run a private “cave” for synchronized watching, chat, and related features. Creating/hosting a room requires an active paid subscription (where offered). Joining with a valid room code is free, subject to capacity and host admission rules.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password secure.
- One active device session per account is enforced for security.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may delete your account as described on the Delete account page.
3. Subscriptions & payments
- Paid plans enable hosting caves and related paid features while active.
- Prices, currency, and duration are shown at purchase time.
- Refunds follow the policy of the store or payment method you used (Google Play, App Store, or web checkout), unless otherwise required by law.
- We may change plans or pricing with notice where practicable; existing paid access continues until the end of the paid period unless stated otherwise.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use UmeCave for unlawful, harassing, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to bypass subscription, session, or room limits.
- Probe, overload, or reverse engineer the service except where allowed by law.
- Share room codes for commercial redistribution or bot-scale abuse.
5. Third-party content
Videos and media you play may come from third parties (e.g. YouTube). You are responsible for that content and for complying with those platforms’ terms. UmeCave does not host all media playback content and is not responsible for third-party availability or policies.
6. Availability
We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change as we improve the product.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UmeCave and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or access, arising from your use of the service.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service. You may stop using UmeCave at any time and request account deletion.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after the “Last updated” date means you accept the revised terms, except where local law requires additional consent.
